Imperfect, Beautiful, Around the Bend.
"Around the Bend" is the first single release of 2016 for Canadian country trio, Runaway Angel. following the success of their last single, "My Someday". "Around the Bend" Also marks the third time I have collaborated with the group. Filmed in front of a bay window, the ladies wanted to show a closer, intimate side, to fit the positive message of the song. Filmed using only strings of light, and the incoming light from the background window.
About Runaway Angel:
Cadence Grace, Ann Chaplin and Stacey Zegers have had major successes in their own right as solo female artists, but never imagined that together their collective talents would catapult them to an entirely new level as Runaway Angel.
Individually, they have toured Canada, the United States, Europe and Britain, opening for major acts like Dean Brody, Aaron Pritchett, One More Girl, Jessie Farrell, Aaron Lines, Terri Clark, Emerson Drive, and Doc Walker. Since joining forces they’ve been no strangers to festival stages opening for acts like Jason Blaine, Dallas Smith, Jess Moskaluke, Dierks Bentley and Tim Hicks.

"There’s a homey quality to this video that I particularly like – a warmth and sincerity that the group manages to exude in the midst of a cold, calculating industry. While “Around The Bend” doesn’t break new ground thematically, the trio’s polished harmonies gleam as brightly as the video’s twinkling background lights, providing additional luster to the song’s universal message. Edward Platero, who also directed Runaway Angel’s “My Someday” video, beautifully captures the rapport among the trio, utilizing lingering close shots to make listeners feel a part of the experience." -- Carolyn Dixon
