Runaway Angel: My Someday

Bringing fantasies to life.

The ladies of Canadian country trio, Runaway Angel's approached me to direct the music video for their latest release, "My Someday"  a song about living out your dreams

The girls came up with the concept about the three of them having a dreamy day on the beach while their dreams came to life.  Scheduled for a two day shoot in early October, we shot over 5 locations in London, St Thomas and Rodney, Ontario.

This is my second collaboration with Runaway Angel, and sixth music video with Stacey.  The girls served as producers of the video, overlooking every aspect, scheduling the locations, and also creating and securing all of the props for the video.  We worked incredibly well as a solid production crew to get quite a bit accomplished in the very little time we had.

On the technical side, I shot most of this handheld, mixed in with aerial shots shot in each location.   It was amazing shooting during magic hour by the airplane.  To achieve the "flying" shots with Stacey, her dad stood 10ft in front of the plane holding a leaf blower.   Shot all on C300 aside from the drone shots.

About Runaway Angel:

Cadence Grace, Ann Chaplin and Stacey Zegers have had major successes in their own right as solo female artists, but never imagined that together their collective talents would catapult them to an entirely new level as Runaway Angel.

Individually, they have toured Canada, the United States, Europe and Britain, opening for major acts like Dean Brody, Aaron Pritchett, One More Girl, Jessie Farrell, Aaron Lines, Terri Clark, Emerson Drive, and Doc Walker. Since joining forces they’ve been no strangers to festival stages opening for acts like Jason Blaine, Dallas Smith, Jess Moskaluke, Dierks Bentley and Tim Hicks.

All strong writers, their solo music has been featured on the likes of CMT, Disney, Much Music and Much More Music, as well as shows like Degrassi High, Dawson’s Creek, Joan of Arcadia, Naturally Sadie and MTV’s The Hills. Together the girls make a dynamic writing force, performing all original material written or co-written by the girls with some of Nashville and Canada’s finest writers.
